    Our grand old matriarch, Just Whisper, died suddenly on June 17th 2007 leaving behind her beautiful month old son. Just Whisper had outstanding success producing top quality hunter breeding horses. Her offspring have included Devon and International Hunter Futurity champions, Normandy Beach and Count Me In. Those two fillies were back-to-back yearling champions at the Devon Horse Show in 1996 and 1997. Her filly Normandy Beach went on to win the AHSA’s Hunter Breeding Grand Championship. We acquired Whisper just four years ago, and her foal this year, Heart’s Justice, aka “TJ” was the first foal she had for us. She adored him and truly glowed with happiness since he was born. She was a wonderful mom, and a kind old mare. The very last thing she did before she died was to emerge from her stupor long enough to give a pathetically happy nicker to her fr iends, the other broodmares and foals, when they came in from the field. We feel privileged to own the first and last foals by this grand old mare, her daughter, Lexus, by Rolls Royce, and her son, TJ, by Just the Best. She lives on in them, in her other offspring, and through Lexus in her grandchildren, including our own Heart’s Joy and Heart’s Luck out of Lexus. We will miss her. Rest in Peace, Whispy.
